Our History
The District Bar Association, Bhagalpur is one of Bihar's oldest and most prestigious legal institutions, founded on 17th May 1881during the British colonial era. Since its inception, the Association has been the guardian of advocates' rights and professional ethics across the Bhagalpur district.
Over more than 140 years, the DBA has grown from a small gathering of legal professionals to a thriving organisation of over 5,400 registered advocates. It has consistently championed the welfare of its members through medical aid schemes, death benefit programmes, and continuous legal education.
Today, the Association stands at the forefront of digital modernisation — bringing its registry, welfare claims, financial records, and notices online to serve members more effectively and ensure full transparency to the public.

Maintain the official advocate registry of 5,400+ members

Process Death Benefit claims for bereaved families
